David Norris brings a lifetime of experience to the job site every day. His earliest memories are of working with his dad, picking up nails and straightening them so they could be reused. He progressed from holding the not smart end of the tape measure to running projects and overseeing crews during his time working with his father. “Those were formative years for me. Working with my dad gave me a front row seat to see reputation building in action.”

David went to work for a local custom builder starting first as a
carpenter then progressing to project management. In this position, he was responsible for the construction of many custom homes on Lake Keowee and in the surrounding areas. In 2004, ready for a new challenge, he left and started his own company David S. Norris Construction specializing in custom carpentry and renovations. “My first love was building things, now I am able to do what I love everyday for a living.”

Centurion Builders came later to separate the contracting side of the business from the carpentry. Both operate with the same vision of bringing ideas into reality with high quality craftsmanship and integrity. David is married to Christi and they have four children. They get to spend a lot of time together because Christi also works in the business. “It’s enjoyable for me to be able to share as much time with her as I do. She is hyper talented and I get a close up view of the awesome work she does every day.” David enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and doing anything competitive!
